This wiki is for the Minnesota library community to comment on the Draft Plan for Minnesota Libraries that was presented at the State Library Advisory Council on April 9, 2009. 

 

All comments must be received by December 4, 2009 to be considered in the

next version of the plan.

Note: You may begin or start a discussion of the plan on WJMN at http://mn.webjunction.org/mnstateplan

 

There are two ways to comment:

1. You may leave your comments on this wiki. To do so, you must have a PBWiki account (free). You do not need an invitation or approval to edit this wiki. Once you have an account, you may do the following:

  • Edit pages
  • Revert pages to previous versions (although, please, don't do this unless you are reverting only your own comments. Reverting will lose what others have added.)
  • Upload new files
  • Create new pages

 

Note: You will receive updates when the wiki pages are changed or comments are added unless you disable this feature under Account in PBWiki. You can change the notification under Home. If you choose to disable notifications, you can see recent activity on the wiki by clicking Recent Activity in the sidebar.

 

How To Comment on the Wiki

  • You must be logged to your account to edit pages with comments.
  • Click Edit tab at top to make your comments on the assigned page (List of pages in the Sidebar). This will help us collate the responses for the revision. Click Save (bottom of page) when you are finished.
  • Please Do Not leave substantive comments in the comments box that appears on each page. Make your comments on the wiki content pages.

  • Large Public Libraries-Marlene Moulton-Janssen
  • Small and Rural Public Libraries 

Note: Some of these groups may be having discussions of the Draft Plan and offer alternative ways to offer comments.

 

Guidelines for Comments

  1. Please sign your comments.
  2. Anonymous comments will not be considered.
  3. When making comments, please be specific with your suggestions, recommendations, changes, objections, and other contributions.
  4. The plan has numbered lines; please refer to those when commenting so it is clear to what you are referring.
  5. Enter your comments on the assigned page. (List of pages in the Sidebar.)

Note: There are parts of The Plan that need more data or narrative. If you can contribute to this, please do so by creating a page, heading it with the area you are expanding, and adding the content. Then place a link on the sidebar to the new page.
